family fun!

i LOVE getting outside. i LOVE to shoot sweet families. i LOVE to shoot friends! it was a win win win today. these boys did and awesome job! mom and dad were worried but i assured let's throw caution to the wind and let the boys do whatever they wanted! i believe their boys are going to knock their socks off ;-)


it was hard to get this one still, but when you did his grin is a winner!



i just love this shot! i know this handsome fella since he was 5 1/2 months old. just blows me away to see him so old and mature and just READY for pictures!


i think mom and dad will agree, this shot just says a lot about their boys ;-) sometimes it's just better to sit and look at a distance. little bro's eyebrow arch says it all!

Krazy Kids!

it's that time of year again . . . i get to check in with a few of my favorite families to see how much they have grown! here's a krazy krew of 3 kiddos 4 and under. there wasn't a dull moment to be had. we had a jam packed session of cute poses and fun free-for-alls! any of you who have worked with me know what i ALWAYS say, the kids rule the shoot! grumpy faces do not make for good pictures so i do my best to balance out what we're looking to get and what the kids are into doing. i always think kiddos shine their best in their individual portraits, when all the attention is on them, and one of my favorite ways to get siblings is to get them in action. here a simple game of "ring around the rosie" captured the moment for me. the three kids playing and laughing and just being, well, kids! LOVE IT!

here's a super sweet family. check out ALL these kiddos! 4 in one shoot! and yes, they are one of those families . . . beautiful kids, great behavior, sweet to each other, they listen during the shoot, they're kind to each other, i could go on an on! if i could clone them i would! i had so much fun running around, inside and out, trying to get it all done. i didn't want to leave it was all working so well. can't wait to edit the rest and check them all out!

gotta love those seniors! so much fun when you get to play around with light and poses and not just run around! we had a jam packed session with a few outfit changes, inside shots, outside shots, there's sure to be something for everyone here! hope she has as much fun as i did!

what a fun family to shoot this morning! so often i spend the whole sitting trying to get kids to come out of their shells, not so with this family! the big kids we're very agreeable and energetic which always makes for great shots and tons of variety! and they were able to help with little sis who may not have enjoyed the chilly morning as much as the rest of us! it's a lot of fun to watch the family dynamic and see so many different personalities come out of one family. and how fun to have to big siblings fighting over who gets to hold their little sister (i'll take that over fighting with each other like they do in my house any day!)
